Namescape's rDirectory provides you with the ability to Manage your Active Directory, and to provide Views of AD that can be used by Internal Users as well as External Customers.
We worked with Namescape and it's products in the past and are now developing a full set of example uses and implementation tools.

What can they do for you ?
Provide web access to Active Directory for:
Administrative purposes
- Easier to use than ADUC
- Access to all attributes in a single screen
- Access to ALL ATTRIBUTES in AD (vs using ADSI Edit to work 1 by 1)
- Limited Admin rights delegation to local and remote Help Desks
Remote Admin (Help Desk)
- Controlled access to AD (work in limited OU, limited funtions)
- Ability to Create new Users or Contacts, but with restrictions on location and attributes
- Help Desk functions: Password reset, Disable/Enable accounts
User Profile Management
User can:
- View and update controlled set of attributes
- Attributes can be Required or Optional
- Attribute values can be limited to selection lists
- Multi-level lists - each attribute choice is dependent on level above
- Dependent lists - selection of 1 attribute results in population of related attributes
- Example: Selection of Office from List results in Address, City, State, Zip Code, Country in AD
- Can be used to gather User data, such as Blackberry ID, laptop serial number, security clearance, languages
